EQUIPMENT RULING |
Vertical Pin Sights The use of a vertical pin sight allows for additional sight positions and therefore is against the intent of the Bowhunter Limited or Bowhunter Unlimited class. Archers using these types of pinsights shall be classified as either Freestyle Limited or Freestyle Unlimited.
Single Pin use The use of single pin vernier sights or similar, as well as the removal of the surplus pins of a bowhunter sight (five or four pins sight) for the purpose of shooting in an indoor event in the Bowhinter Limited or Bowhunter Unlimited style is against the intent of the style and therefore not acceptable. Persons shooting these type sights shall be classified as either Freestyle Limited or Freestyle Unlimited. |
Rubber Insert The rubber insert system is ruled as part of the stabilizer and that the rubber mounting that protrudes from the riser is included in the measurement of the stabilizer. This means that measurement is taken from the riser directly behind the protruding rubber. Archers who shoot any of the Bowhunter styles of the IFAA may have to reduce the length of their bow stabilizer to stay within the limit of 12 inch set by the IFAA for their tournaments.
TC Ruling 04/2008 The use of a rod type string damper, regardless whether "factory" installed or "self" installed in addition to a normal stabilizer in the front of the bow is NOW LEGAL in any of the Bowhunter divisions.
No PeeP The IFAA Technical Committee has ruled the device known as the "No Peep" and any other similar devices to be illegal for Bowhunter Limited and Bowhunter Unlimited styles. Any Archers who registers in either of these two shooting styles in an IFAA sanctioned event and has this device attatched to the bow will be given the choice to either remove the device or to be classified in either the Freestyle Limited or Freestyle Unlimited shooting style |
